What’s it all about?
Are you new to taking part in Festivals? Well the aim of this page is to explain how festivals work and what you need to know. It is also worthwhile visiting our Blog for the hints and tips posted there providing some insider knowledge on what Adjudicators are looking for in an outstanding performance.
What’s on and when?
Join the audience at the Music Festival between 23rd and 26th June. We have put an outline TIMETABLE on our Blog to help you choose.
Once the Festival is in progress each day the performances on offer will be outlined on Facebook, Twitter and the Blog . This is just an overview but will help you to decide what you might like to watch. Full details of who is performing at what time and precisely what they are performing can be found in the Programme.
The Programme
This can be bought at Brian Taylor Music or on the door of any of the venues. The cost is £2.50.
Tickets
Performers / participants have been sent their tickets in advance. For those coming along to watch there are also tickets on sale at Brian Taylor Music or on the door of any of the venues. The cost is £2.50 for a day ticket or £4.00 for a season ticket.
At the Festival
When you arrive at the Festival you will be able to buy a Programme and Tickets on the door. Please wait outside the performance room quietly because someone inside is trying to give their best performance and can be put off by noise. Do not enter until you can hear applause, at that point it is safe to enter without causing any disturbance.
Certificates and Report Sheets
Please collect your Certificates and Report Sheets from the room in which you are performing before you leave.
Trophies
If you win a Trophy please sign for this before leaving the performance room – we need to know who to remind when they are due for return next year!
